Raffy Donato is all about performance on drums.  When he isn’t teaching students or performing with his bands J&J Quartet, he is practicing in our drum room and thinking up new ways of improving his performance.

Raffy has a stellar lineage in drums.  He was a student of renowned drummer Mar Dizon and also attended the drum camps and seminars of Michael Alba.

Raffy is an advocate of learning and practicing all styles of music, something he imparts to his students.  He is very strict with execution of drumset exercises but always goes back and gives major emphasis on the Musical Aspect of drumming.

Raffy’s goal is  to establish a Davao league of drummers, working together for the upliftment of the Davao music scene.
